Eid Advance Train Ticket Sales Conclude with Over 72,000 Tickets Sold

As part of special arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr, advance intercity train ticket sales concluded on Thursday (March 20), with 72,426 tickets sold nationwide within 10 hours, all through online platforms.

According to Bangladesh Railway sources, the tickets sold on the final day were for March 30.

Data reveals that for March 30, the total number of seats available on trains departing from Dhaka to two regions was 32,115, while the nationwide total across all trains was 163,959 seats.

The ticket sales process began at 8:00 AM for trains operating in the western region, while sales for eastern region trains started at 2:00 PM. From 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, a total of 28,768 seats on trains departing from Dhaka were sold. Additionally, 43,658 seats for trains across the country were booked. This brought the total number of tickets sold to 72,426.
