Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "The world is changing, we have to keep pace with this changing world. This is the age of technology, the age of science, the age of research.”

While inaugurating the program of distribution of stipends and tuition fees among poor meritorious students from secondary to graduation and equivalent level; best meritorious award of Bangabandhu Creative Talent Search 2023 and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Scholar Award 2022, the Prime Minister expressed her views as the chief guest at the Prime Minister's Office Shapla Hall on Sunday.

She also called for emphasizing on research in health, science and technology, she said, "Our research is lagging behind in one area, which is health. I emphasize on research in health sciences. We have made considerable progress in agriculture. But in the field of science, we could not do that much.”

She also said, 'We are moving forward in all sectors. But our research is lagging behind in one area, and that is the health sector. We are giving importance to medical science research. I think it needs to be given more importance.'

Apart from the expansion of science and technical education, the Prime Minister highlighted the steps taken by the government to diversify education.

Highlighting various creative programs of the government to develop the talent of students, the Prime Minister said, "I think, if we give the opportunity to develop the talent of our children, then no one can ever lag behind this country." We will move forward.”
