- Insurance Innovation Award clinched by fully connected Automated Claim Processing System
- Platform settles Tk 557 crore across 261,000 claims with 97 percent cleared within a week
- Guardian Accidental Care secures Honorable Mention for Tk 10 ticket-embedded microinsurance
Pioneering digital disruption in the domestic insurance landscape through accelerated claim disbursements and microinsurance accessibility, Guardian Life Insurance Limited has secured dual honors at the Bangladesh Fintech Award 2026. The insurer clinched the flagship "Insurance Innovation Award" for its proprietary Automated Claim Processing System (ACPS), while its micro-coverage model, "Guardian Accidental Care," earned an Honorable Mention.
The formal recognitions were conferred on Thursday, 15 October 2026, in Dhaka, spotlighting technological deployments that enhance transparency, speed up operations, and drive financial inclusion across the sector.
Guardian’s Automated Claim Processing System (ACPS) has restructured the end-to-end claims lifecycle by unifying claim submission, identity verification, algorithmic risk assessment, real-time tracking, and settlement onto a connected digital platform. By minimizing manual interventions and redundant paperwork, the infrastructure allows policyholders to track claim milestones in real time. Operational metrics between August 2025 and August 2026 reveal that Guardian processed over 261,000 claims valued in excess of Tk 557 crore. Notably, 43,032 claims achieved same-day turnaround, with 97 percent of total submissions settled within a single week.
Complementing this backend automation, the "Guardian Accidental Care" platform integrates short-term personal accident coverage directly into commercial event registration and ticketing portals. With micro-premiums starting at Tk 10, users gain 24-hour accident coverage offering up to Tk 50,000 in specified medical and life benefits without undergoing standard medical evaluations or lengthy policy applications.
Reflecting on the milestone, Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Life Insurance Limited, affirmed that the organization's strategic vision centers on making insurance simple, reliable, and accessible for everyone. He stated that while ACPS transforms the claimant experience with rapid turnarounds, Accidental Care embeds affordable protection into everyday lifestyle transactions. He noted that the dual accolades validate the company's continuous investments in scalable insurtech solutions that build systemic trust, official sources confirmed.
