Oct 3, 2026 14:42

Local Government, Rural Development, and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan stated that technology-driven efficiency and engineering solutions must be rapidly integrated to deliver public services. He made these remarks on Saturday (October 3) while addressing a review meeting on solar power, dengue prevention, and development programs held at the Cooperative Building in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

Highlighting energy technology, the Minister noted that solar power systems play a critical role in mitigating power shortages. He advocated for installing solar tech panels on the rooftops of Union and Upazila Parishad buildings, while encouraging residential solar technology in rural areas. Storing excess daytime power through battery storage engineering will significantly reduce national grid dependency.

State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam emphasized civil engineering advancements in rural infrastructure. He recommended replacing traditional bricks with concrete block technology for small roads, introducing engineered drainage systems, and setting up tech frameworks for easy-bike registration. Additionally, he instructed officials to evaluate waste-to-energy technologies for producing organic fertilizer and electricity. Top civil administrators, engineers, and municipal executives attended the meeting.                           //DBTech/CPL/SPM/MVNO//
