New Initiatives in Vocational and Engineering Education Cooperation Launched
China-Bangladesh Tech and Education Bilateral Ties Strengthened

Integrating science, engineering, technology, and online networks, a major milestone has been reached to revolutionize Bangladesh’s technical education sector. The China-Bangladesh Education Cooperation Luncheon held in Guangzhou brought together university leaders, engineering experts, and government officials from both nations.
Speaking at the event, Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon, Minister of Education of Bangladesh, recalled the historic friendship between the two nations, highlighting the roles of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia in cementing these ties. Mr. Mahdi Amin, Education Adviser to the Prime Minister and PMO Spokesperson, emphasized the digital era's linguistic needs, highlighting the importance of Chinese-language proficiency and online technology integration for Bangladeshi students.
A key highlight was the official unveiling of the China-Bangladesh International Service Center for Industry-Education Integration. This technological hub will facilitate joint research, vocational training, and technical engineering programs between academia and industry. Notable attendees included Mohammad Dawood Miah, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasah Education Division, Tian Xingyou, Vice President of Anhui Normal University, and Zheng Pengwu, Vice President of Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University.
Earlier on 25 August, Tuesday, the Minister departed Dhaka for China, greeted at the airport by Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen and Cultural Counselor Li Shaopeng. On 26 August, Wednesday, relevant sources stated that during this trip, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) regarding engineering, science, and educational cooperation are scheduled to be signed between universities of both countries.
