On Sunday, August 23, the Helio 62 smartphone was officially released in the market. Amid soaring prices of components, storage shortages, and chipsets impacting the mobile sector, the device enters the market priced at BDT 18,999 with flagship-grade features.

Mohammad Abu Sayem, Sales and Marketing Director of Helio, stated that the goal behind Helio 62 was to challenge the notion that budget constraints require compromising on essentials. It is claimed that features such as a 7000 mAh battery, 120Hz display, 6GB RAM, IP64 rating, and Iron Guard protection for BDT 18,999 will attract consumers seeking efficiency without increasing their budget.

The handset sports a 6.78-inch IPS punch-hole display with a 90% screen-to-body ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. It is driven by a 12nm MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core processor and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The setup includes 6GB physical RAM, 6GB virtual RAM, and 128GB internal storage, expandable up to 512GB via a memory card.

A primary highlight is its 7000 mAh battery supported by 33W fast charging, which is reported to reach 50 percent in 43 minutes and full capacity in 1 hour and 45 minutes. The camera module consists of a 50MP primary lens and a 2MP macro lens, along with a 32MP front sensor.

The phone holds an IP64 rating and Iron Guard body protection designed to resist drops from up to 1 meter. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, NFC, gyroscope, and Android 16 OS. The device comes with a 15-month warranty and is available in Titanium Fog, Mint Green, and Silk Green variants across authorized retail stores.
