Police have recovered the hanging body of an army member named Sajib Molla (27), who was working at the Ruppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Ishwardi, Pabna. The body was recovered on Saturday (August 22) evening from his designated room inside the army barracks in the Pakshi Paper Mill area.

The deceased, Sajib Molla, was the son of Majid Molla from Chok Diyail village in Ghior Upazila of Manikganj district. He had been serving in the Bangladesh Army for around 8–9 years.

According to police and local sources, Sajib returned to his residence after completing duty on Saturday and locked himself inside his room. Subsequently, following a family dispute, he hanged himself using a towel and rope attached to the ceiling fan. Colleagues and locals later rushed to his aid, but he had already passed away.

In-charge of Ruppur Police Outpost, Md. Yadur Rahman, stated that police officers quickly reached the scene upon receiving information and prepared the inquest report. The body was then sent to the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex for necessary legal formalities and death certification.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station, Md. Ashadur Rahman, confirmed the incident, stating that initial investigations suggest suicide stemming from family conflicts. However, a detailed investigation is ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances, and relevant authorities are taking further lawful actions.
