Digital Drive: Grameenphone, Ansar & VDP Forge Five-Year Partnership
Telecommunications operator Grameenphone Bangladesh has signed a five-year strategic partnership agreement with the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Bangladesh Ansar & VDP) to accelerate the force's digital transformation.
According to both organizations, the partnership aims to strengthen institutional capacity, improve operational efficiency, and further advance the ongoing digital transformation of the force by leveraging technology and connectivity. Bangladesh Ansar & VDP plays a significant role in national security, social protection, and the country's socio-economic development.
Under the agreement, Grameenphone will support the force in deploying modern communication systems and technology-driven services across its nationwide operations. The company will utilize its extensive network infrastructure, digital expertise, and corporate service capabilities to facilitate this transformation.
Grameenphone announced on Tuesday that the memorandum of understanding was recently signed at the Bangladesh Ansar & VDP headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka. The agreement was signed by Nurul Ferdous Musanna, Head of Government and Strategic Business at Grameenphone, and Muhammad Nure Alam Siddiqui, BVM, Director (Operations) of Bangladesh Ansar & VDP.
The signing ceremony was attended by Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer Yasir Azman, Chief Business Officer Dr. Asif Naimur Rashid, Head of Law Enforcement Agencies Business Helal Uddin Ahmed, Government and Strategic Business Key Account Manager Kazi Nusrat, and Strategic Account Manager Arman Sikder.
Representing Bangladesh Ansar & VDP were Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Additional Director General Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Director General (Administration) Colonel Bayezid Mohammad Tarek Junaid, Deputy Director General (Training) Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Director (Communication) Kawsar Jahan, along with other senior officials of the force.
