CUET ACI Student Chapter Holds AGM; New Executive Committee Announced
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Student Chapter at Chittongong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) was successfully held. Attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan as the chief guest on Monday, July 6, the chapter unveiled its new 23-member executive committee for the 2026–27 session.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Student Chapter at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has been concluded. The program took place yesterday afternoon (Monday, July 6) at the seminar room of the Department of Civil Engineering, CUET.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor of CUET, Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Special guests included Professor Dr. Asiful Hoque, Dean of the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering; Professor Dr. Md. Reaz Akter Mullick, Head of the Civil Engineering Department; and Professor Dr. G.M. Sadiqul Islam, Faculty Advisor of the CUET ACI Student Chapter. The session was presided over by Ashab Labib, the outgoing president of the CUET ACI Student Chapter, and jointly hosted by Civil Engineering 23rd batch students Nasil Iham and Nusaiba Habib.
During the meeting, the annual report of the 2025–26 executive committee was presented by the outgoing general secretary, Kazi Ramim. Following the presentation, a brand new 23-member executive committee for the 2026–27 session was officially announced. Sanaul Haque, a student from the 21st batch of the Civil Engineering department, was elected as the new president, while Nafis Hasan Nafi from the same batch secured the post of general secretary. Guests at the event encouraged the new leadership to uphold structural engineering excellence and student empowerment.
