A new digital platform named Rangpur Diary is transforming access to public information and citizen services in Rangpur by bringing essential government and private service information under one digital umbrella.

Founded by young local entrepreneur M A Rashid, the platform aims to make civic information easily accessible while reducing public inconvenience and dependence on intermediaries.

Designed as a comprehensive online information repository, Rangpur Diary provides details on government and private offices, courts, hospitals, educational institutions, markets, tourist attractions, local media outlets, and emergency services, including ambulance and fire service contacts.

The initiative enables citizens to quickly access reliable information, saving both time and money while improving access to public services.

Beyond information services, the platform also encourages civic engagement by allowing users to publish poems, stories and other literary works, as well as report local problems and public grievances. These issues are digitally forwarded to the relevant government authorities to facilitate faster solutions, contributing to greater transparency, accountability and grassroots governance.

Founder M A Rashid said, “I want people to easily raise their concerns and find solutions from their homes. Rangpur Diary will become a public service platform where every citizen, including those in remote areas, can enjoy equal access to civic services.”
The platform's database is currently being expanded with regular updates. Since its launch, Rangpur Diary has received an encouraging response from local residents.
