Samsung, one of the world’s leading technology brands, and SEBL (an affiliate of DX Group), one of the country’s top distribution companies, have embarked on a joint journey to open a new horizon in Bangladesh’s smartphone market.
On Monday, 27 April, it was announced that SEBL Distribution Limited has been appointed as the official distributor of Samsung at a “Partner Meet” held at an upscale hotel in Banani in the capital. At the same event, Samsung’s most affordable 5G smartphone in Bangladesh, the Galaxy M06, was officially unveiled.
Senior officials of Samsung Bangladesh, business partners of DX Group, and top executives from both organizations were present at the event. While MX Business Expat Donghee Lee, Director and Head of Business Masudul Hoque Bhuiya, General Manager Shafiqul Islam, Manager SM Parvez Imran, and Shah Mohammad Hamim represented Samsung .
From DX Group, Chairman D.M. Mozibur Rahman, Founder and CEO Dewan Kanan, Director of Operations Liton Biswas, Director of Sales Mujahidul Islam, Lt. Col. Sayedis Saklain PSC (Retd.), Chief Manufacturing and Product Officer Engineer Arifur Rahman, and Chief Finance Officer Nurnabi Bhuiya attended the event.
Despite fluctuations in the smartphone market in recent years, demand for 5G smartphones has increased rapidly since 2024 amid a positive market trend. Considering the growing need for AI technology, high-speed internet, and online gaming, the Galaxy M06 (5G) has been introduced to the market.
The new smartphone features an 800-nit super-bright display, ensuring clear visibility even under intense sunlight. Its camera setup includes a 50+2 megapixel primary camera and an 8 megapixel selfie camera. Equipped with a powerful 5G chipset, the device offers high-speed downloads, buffer-free 4K video streaming, and lag-free online gaming. Additionally, its 25-watt fast charging capability enables quick recharging.
Masudul Hoque Bhuiya, Director and Head of Business at Samsung Electronics, said that Samsung always prioritizes customer experience, and SEBL’s extensive distribution capability will add a new dimension to achieving that goal. He expressed optimism that this partnership would create an inspiring milestone in Bangladesh’s smartphone industry.
Dewan Kanan, Founder and CEO of DX Group, stated that the combination of Samsung’s world-class technology and DX Group’s efficient distribution network will deliver enhanced services to customers across the country. He added that their goal is to make premium 5G smartphones accessible to the general public at affordable prices.
Samsung and DX Group expect that this new partnership will further accelerate Bangladesh’s digital transformation. The Galaxy M06 (5G) is expected to be available nationwide within the next two to three days.
