Prof. Dr. Abul Hashem Appointed as New Director of BAURES

Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hashem of the Department of Animal Science has been appointed as the new Director of the Bangladesh Agricultural University Research System (BAURES). The appointment was officially announced through an order signed by BAU Registrar Agronomist Dr. Md. Helal Uddin on Thursday (September 24).
According to the official order, Professor Dr. Md. Samsul Alam Bhuiyan of the Department of Animal Breeding and Genetics has been relieved of his duties as BAURES Director following his personal application, effective from the forenoon of September 24. Consequently, Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Hashem has been entrusted with the directorship for a tenure of two years under standard university provisions.
Professor Dr. Md. Abul Hashem is a distinguished faculty member deeply engaged in academic and livestock research initiatives. He also currently serves as the President of the Bangladesh Animal Husbandry Association.
BAURES plays a critical apex role in steering, coordinating, and managing all agricultural research programs and funded projects across Bangladesh Agricultural University.
