Supreme Court to Create Digital Database for High Court Staff
The Supreme Court administration has undertaken an initiative to create a digital database containing the personal, educational, and service-related information of all officers and employees working in the High Court Division. The “Personal Data Sheet” (PDS) is being prepared primarily to modernize human resource management and enhance efficiency in administrative activities.
A notice in this regard has been issued by the Supreme Court administration.
According to the notice, all concerned have been instructed to fill out the prescribed form with complete personal, educational, family, and service-related information, and submit it with signatures and photographs by 7 April.
The notice states that, at present, information on officers and employees of the High Court Division is stored manually across various files and sections. In many cases, the information is incomplete or not updated. Even family-related information of employees is often not properly recorded. As a result, verifying or retrieving necessary information takes considerable time.
It further states that the absence of readily available data causes delays in making important decisions such as postings, promotions, training, and the provision of welfare services. The introduction of a digital database will facilitate faster, data-driven decision-making. Human resource management will become technology-based, and transparency and efficiency in administrative work will be significantly enhanced.
