BMU Outpatient Department to Remain Open on Two Days During Eid-ul-Fitr Holidays
The outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University will remain open on Thursday, 19 March, and Sunday, 22 March, during the holiday period of Eid-ul-Fitr to facilitate patients.
On those two days, patients will be able to receive medical consultation services from physicians at the outpatient department between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
To ensure the continuation of these services, the university administration has already instructed the Director (Hospital) to take the necessary measures.
The information was disclosed in a notice signed by the university’s Registrar, Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, on Sunday, 15 March. According to the notice, the outpatient department will remain closed from 17 March to 23 March, except on 19 March and 22 March.
During the closure period, the hospital’s indoor and emergency departments will remain open as usual. However, classes, offices, afternoon specialized consultation services, consultation services at the super specialized hospital, and the PCR lab will remain closed.
Following the Eid holidays, regular operations will resume on Tuesday, 24 March. On the same day, the post–Eid-ul-Fitr reunion of 2026 will be held between 8:30 am and 10:30 am.
