Banglalink Offers Free IMO Calls to Middle East Amid Rising Tensions
In light of ongoing tensions in various parts of the Middle East, the country’s digital operator Banglalink has taken a special initiative to facilitate easier communication with expatriate family members.
The company announced that from March 3 to March 6, its customers will be able to make voice and video calls to relatives residing in the Middle East using the messaging application imo without incurring additional data charges.
Banglalink stated that a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates live in the Middle East. In the current situation, concerns have increased among family members staying in Bangladesh. In this context, the initiative has been introduced to ensure uninterrupted communication opportunities.
To avail of the offer, customers must activate it once during the campaign period by dialing 121555#.
Kazi Mahbub Hasan, Chief Marketing Officer of Banglalink, said that in line with the company’s core service philosophy, “Care for You,” the initiative has been undertaken to stand beside customers during challenging times. He added that the goal is to ensure reliable communication to help ease the anxieties of families.
