‘Every Photo Tells a Story’: OPPO Reno15 Series 5G Photography Contest Launched

With the theme “Every Photo Tells a Story,” the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G Photography Contest has officially been launched, offering a grand prize of BDT 100,000 for the winner. The contest is jointly organised by OPPO Bangladesh and Pathshala South Asian Institute of Photography.

Photographers have been invited to submit their entries in five categories: Portrait, Nature and Wildlife, Street and Architecture, Low-light, and Heritage and Culture. Beyond visual appeal, special emphasis has been placed on capturing character, emotion, identity, and context, encouraging participants to go deeper than mere aesthetics in their storytelling.

Interested photographers can register by visiting the dedicated platform opposhot.com, using their mobile number and email address. After registration, participants must select their preferred category and upload high-quality images in JPEG or PNG format. Each submission must also include a short written narrative describing the story, background, or emotion behind the photograph.

OPPO Bangladesh stated that the submitted photographs will be evaluated by a distinguished jury board comprising prominent figures from Bangladesh’s documentary and educational photography community. The jury panel includes Khandakar Tanvir Murad, Head of the Photography Department at Pathshala South Asian Institute of Photography; renowned documentary photographers Rezwana Chowdhury Jhinia, Shafiqul Alam Kiran, and K.M. Asad. The jury will select winners based on narrative strength, authenticity, emotional resonance, and contextual understanding, rather than visual beauty alone.

The Grand Winner of the competition will receive BDT 100,000 in cash, OPPO’s latest flagship smartphone, and a professional photography course at Pathshala. The second prize winner will receive BDT 50,000, an OPPO smartphone, and a Pathshala course, while the third prize winner will receive BDT 30,000, along with an OPPO smartphone and a Pathshala course.

In addition, five winners will be selected from each of the five photography categories. Each category winner will receive BDT 20,000 in cash, the latest OPPO smartphone, and a Pathshala photography course.

Photographs can be submitted until April 30, and the names of the winners will be officially announced on May 15.
