Energy Adviser’s Phone Number Hacked, Fake Money Requests Reported

The mobile phone number of Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, has been hacked. Using the compromised number, fraudsters have reportedly attempted to solicit money.

In a verified Facebook post on Monday, February 2, Khan confirmed the breach, warning: “My phone number has been hacked. I am not seeking any financial assistance. Please ignore such requests.”

He added that the matter has already been reported to the relevant authorities.

Khan was appointed Adviser to the interim government on August 16, 2024. In addition to overseeing power, energy, and mineral resources, he also advises the ministries of Road Transport and Bridges, and Railways.
