Bangladesh Shines at World Youth STEM 2026
The Bangladesh team has secured gold medals and several other awards at the international round of the ‘World Youth STEM Invention Innovation 2026’ international innovation competition held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
In the Computing, AI & Digital Innovation category, Bangladesh's Team Anglo Voice won a gold medal and special honour as the best innovative project. In the same category, Team Alo and Vision Aid secured gold medals by ranking in the top five.
In the Robotics & Drone category, Chuadanga Science and Robotics Club won a gold medal. Additionally, Lahi Robotics & Intelligence won a bronze medal, and Team Novatrix won a silver medal. In the Engineering & Technology category, Team Young Spark of Bangladesh won a silver medal.
The Bangladesh delegation, led by the Bangladesh Young Scientists and Innovators Society (BYSIS), participated in the competition with ‘Bengal Spark 1.0’ on Sunday, February 1st. The competition, which saw participation from approximately 1,000 contestants from various countries, has been recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records for the record number of participants.
The organiser of the competition, Malaysia Young Scientists Organization (MYSO), presented a special honour to Mossadek Hossain, the head of the Bangladesh delegation and President of BYSIS. Also present were the Malaysian High Commissioner to Thailand, Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, and the President of MYSO, Dr. Rajmi bin Abdu Razzaq.
Sadekul Islam and Omar Marwan, Program Co-ordinators of BYSIS, were responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Bangladesh delegation.
