Google Photos Introduces ‘Me Meme’ Feature for AI-Powered Personal Memes

Creating memes no longer requires separate apps or complex editing tools. Google Photos has introduced a new feature called “Me Meme,” placing users themselves at the centre of memes. Powered by generative AI, the feature automatically creates personalised and humorous memes. The development was reported by GSM Arena.

Currently available on a trial basis in the United States, the feature includes a built-in template gallery. Users can also upload their own meme templates if they prefer. All that is needed is a personal photo. By opening the Google Photos app, tapping the “Create” option at the bottom, selecting “Me Meme,” choosing a template, adding a photo, and pressing “Generate,” a meme is instantly created.

Once generated, the meme can be saved, regenerated, or shared directly. Technology analysts believe this new Google Photos feature could add a fresh dimension to social media content creation habits.

However, Google has not yet made any official announcement regarding when the feature will be rolled out in other countries worldwide.
