Rugged Phone Unveiled with Detachable Action Camera

Smartphone maker Ulefone’s sub-brand RugOne has introduced a unique innovation to the technology market. At IFA, the international technology trade show held in Berlin, Germany, the company unveiled its new rugged smartphone, the ‘RugOne XsSnap 7 Pro’.

The phone’s biggest attraction is its special action camera, which can be completely detached from the back of the phone and used separately when needed. The technology allows users to pull the camera out of the main body and record videos independently, making it particularly useful for content creators and adventure enthusiasts.

Detachable Design and Camera Performance

The small, cube-shaped action camera is attached to the rear panel of the device using magnets. When not in use, it remains securely stored inside the phone. Using wireless technology, the camera can connect directly to the phone and be operated through an app.

The camera can record video at 2.7K resolution and can operate underwater at depths of up to 5 meters. It comes with 64GB of built-in storage and can continuously record video for up to 40 minutes on a full charge.

Enhanced Protection and Powerful Configuration

In addition to the action camera, the device is also a powerful smartphone. Its main camera features a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes a 64-megapixel night-vision camera with infrared LEDs for capturing clear photos and videos in complete darkness.

For fast performance, the phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset and features a 6.67-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The handset carries an IP69K rating for maximum protection against dust and water. It will be available in two attractive colors: ‘Classic Black’ and ‘Sand Dune’.

The phone is available for €799 on Kickstarter as part of a special early-bird offer. However, official sales in the global market will begin next month at $999.
