Hosting.com Officially Launches Operations in Bangladesh

Global web hosting service provider Hosting.com has officially launched its business operations in Bangladesh. The formal inauguration took place on Wednesday, 14 January, at Hotel Sheraton in the capital, with Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser in charge of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, attending as the chief guest.

At the event, it was announced that Hosting.com will provide Bangla-language customer support for users in Bangladesh. The company will also ensure local currency payment options and affordable hosting services tailored to the local market.

Special guests at the ceremony included Seb de Lemos, Chief Executive Officer of Hosting.com; Panos Kesisis, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer; Ben Gabler, Chief Product Officer; Daphne Monroe, Head of Website and Content; and Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division. Local technology experts and industry representatives were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb said that the launch of Hosting.com in Bangladesh would give new momentum to digital services such as server infrastructure, cloud-based solutions, AI bot technology, search engine optimization, and the domain business. He noted that increased competition would improve service quality, create positive user experiences, and open new opportunities. He added that the initiative would help build a strong digital ecosystem, generate employment, accelerate skills development, and expand knowledge- and technology-driven innovation in the country.

Hosting.com CEO Seb de Lemos said the company has received extensive feedback regarding pricing and service packages and is taking the matter seriously. “Very soon, we will introduce special initiatives in pricing and packages for Bangladeshi customers,” he said, adding that local culture and demand are also being considered. He further stated that more than three million websites are currently active on Hosting.com’s infrastructure, with a new website being added every 15 seconds, supported by over 20 data centers worldwide and more than 1,000 experts, ensuring fast, stable, and uninterrupted services.

Imran Hossain, Bangladesh Operations Manager of Hosting.com, said that the company’s global-standard hosting and data infrastructure would open up new possibilities for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs, startups, and digital businesses. He added that it would strengthen the local technology ecosystem, create new employment opportunities, and play a significant role in positioning Bangladesh as a regional digital hub.
