Biman Flight Returns to Chattogram After Mid-Air Malfunction

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight that arrived from Dubai was forced to return to Chattogram shortly after takeoff due to a technical malfunction, confirmed Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, Public Relations Officer at Shah Amanat International Airport.

On Thursday, July 24, flight BG148 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines landed at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport at 7:15 a.m. with 287 passengers on board. The aircraft later departed for Dhaka at 8:37 a.m.

However, due to a technical fault, the flight was compelled to return and made a safe landing at the airport at 8:58 a.m., just 21 minutes after departure.

Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil stated, “The aircraft, which returned due to a mechanical issue, landed safely in Chattogram. It is currently stationed at Bay No. 8 of the airport. All passengers are safe.”
