CUET Teachers Hold AGM, Farewell and Leadership Handover
The Teachers’ Association of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) organised its Annual General Meeting (AGM), farewell reception and leadership handover ceremony on Thursday.
The event was held on January 8 at the auditorium on the third floor of the CUET Teachers’ Student Centre (TSC). Outgoing teachers—former CUET Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Civil Engineering Dr Md Jahangir Alam, and Assistant Professor of the Mathematics Department Rehayet Karim—were formally honoured at the programme.
CUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiya attended the programme as the chief guest.
The meeting was presided over by the outgoing President of the CUET Teachers’ Association, Professor Dr G M Sadikul Islam. Joint Secretary of the association, Md Shah Jalal Mishuk, delivered the welcome address, while General Secretary Professor Dr Md Arafat Rahman presented the annual report. The financial statement was placed by Treasurer Monowar Wadud Hridoy.
Greetings were also delivered by the newly elected President of the Teachers’ Association, Professor Dr Mohammad Ahsan Ullah, and General Secretary Professor Dr Md Abul Hasan.
The programme was conducted by the association’s Publicity and Social Welfare Secretary, Md Asifur Rahman.
