PKSF (Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation) will give special focus to agro-ecological farming in its initiatives to promote safe agriculture, said PKSF Managing Director Md. Fazlul Quader.

He made the remark during a workshop held on 9 December at PKSF Bhaban-1, where the 2025-26 fiscal year budget for PKSF’s agriculture unit and associated programs was reviewed and discussed.

Md. Fazlul Quader stated, “Excessive dependence on chemical inputs is gradually depleting soil vitality, reducing soil productivity. Moreover, it has harmful effects on soil, water, the environment, and human health. The most sustainable and effective way to overcome this challenge is through agro-ecological farming. This approach restores natural soil fertility while allowing farmers to produce crops at lower cost compared to chemical usage, ultimately increasing their profits.”

The workshop was attended by PKSF Deputy Managing Director Dr. Akand Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, heads of PKSF’s partner organizations, and senior officials and experts from PKSF and its associated agencies.
