The figure was finalized after reviewing the financial statement for the last fiscal year during a board meeting held on 1 December.

On 2 December, BSCL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Dr Imadur Rahman celebrated the milestone with company officials and staff at the organisation’s head office in Banglamotor, Dhaka, where discussions were also held on future plans to maintain profitability.
Speaking about strategies to sustain BSCL’s positive financial position, Dr Rahman said that after assuming office, he took effective measures to market the unused capacity of the BS-1 satellite domestically and internationally, while placing strong emphasis on providing quality service to existing customers.
He added that the company has prioritised cost management and has been implementing various initiatives to enhance staff capacity, motivation and professionalism through training and relationship-building activities. BSCL is also pursuing new business opportunities to boost revenue. In addition, efforts are underway to strengthen long-term satellite industry infrastructure in Bangladesh through active dialogue and collaboration with government agencies, private organisations and universities.
