Banglalink Brings in Branding Boss: Kazi Mahbub Hasan Appointed New CMO

Banglalink, the country’s leading innovative digital operator, has appointed Kazi Mahubb Hasan, the founding CEO of R Ventures PLC, as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

He brings with him two decades of leadership experience across the telecommunications, technology, and financial sectors. Mahbub Hasan is expected to leverage his extensive strategic expertise at Banglalink—particularly in achieving transformative growth in competitive South Asian markets, driving digital innovation, and implementing customer-centric strategies.

Before serving as the founding CEO of R Ventures PLC, he played a key role as the CIO of Robi Axiata, where he contributed significantly to ICT, IoT, cybersecurity, and large-scale technological transformation.

Earlier, he also held important positions at Delhivery, Grameenphone, Deloitte UK, and IBM UK. Furthermore, he played notable roles in implementing digital transformation and growth-driven initiatives for global clients such as Deutsche Telekom and Unilever.

Kazi Mahbub Hasan holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, and is an alumnus of IBA, University of Dhaka.
