PokéPark Kanto: Pokémon’s Permanent Paradise to Open in Tokyo
The world’s first permanent Pokémon-themed amusement park, PokéPark Kanto, is set to open on February 5 next year in Tokyo, Japan. The park is being built inside Yomiuriland, one of Tokyo’s most popular entertainment destinations. While several short-term Pokémon parks have been launched in the past, this will be the franchise’s first-ever permanent theme park, according to Engadget.
Visitors will need to purchase an additional ticket for entry into the park. Before entering, guests will pass through the Pokémon Research Lab, which serves as a gateway to two distinct sections—Pokémon Forest and Sage Town.
In Pokémon Forest, visitors can stroll through winding trails, caves, and lush greenery surrounded by life-sized Pokémon statues captured in moments of battle, play, or rest. Meanwhile, Sage Town will feature the Pokémon Center and PokéMart, offering themed food and exclusive souvenirs.
The park will also include several attractions, such as Pika Pika Paradise, a ride featuring more than 30 electric-type Pokémon, and Vivi Voyage, a carousel where visitors can ride in carriages pulled by Ponyta and Rapidash. Guests can also enjoy the Eevee Balloon Ride, adding to the magical experience.
