Security and Safety Summit Set to Strengthen Synergies in Dhaka

The International Security and Safety Expo 2025 is set to begin in Dhaka, bringing together local manufacturers, suppliers, importers, software and cybersecurity entrepreneurs with representatives from leading global technology companies to build stronger business connections. Organizers believe the three-day event will create opportunities for trade relations and the exchange of security and safety technologies between domestic and international firms.

The event is jointly organized by technology service provider i-Station Limited, the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS), and Dubai-based technology company GPE Expo (FZE).

According to the organizers, the exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday, September 18, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Posts and Telecommunications. Following the formal inauguration, a Business-to-Business (B2B) session will take place, allowing domestic manufacturers, suppliers, importers, software and cybersecurity entrepreneurs, and representatives from the banking and corporate sectors to engage in discussions with global technology leaders. Organizers expect this will forge “smart connections” between international innovations and Bangladesh’s growing security technology industry, opening new opportunities for young local entrepreneurs.

The three-day international exhibition will also feature the International Occupational Safety, Health and Fire Expo (IOSHFE). Technology companies from around the world will showcase their latest products in occupational fire safety, protective equipment, smart monitoring systems, health and fire security technologies, software solutions, and innovations in cybersecurity. Cutting-edge personal protective equipment (PPE), surveillance cameras, and other safety and health-related devices will also be on display.

Speaking about the significance of the event, BCS President Mohammad Zahirul Islam said, “With rapid industrialization, infrastructure development, and urbanization in Bangladesh, it has become an urgent necessity to modernize our security systems. Through the ‘International Security and Safety Expo,’ we have taken an important initiative to connect domestic security and safety needs with international innovations and solutions. Major international and local security and safety technology companies, policymakers, and experts will participate, showcasing world-class innovations, sharing experiences, and exploring opportunities for collaboration. This event is not just an exhibition; it is a timely step towards shaping the future. I believe this initiative will open a new horizon in Bangladesh’s security and safety sector.”

Managing Director of i-Station Limited, Madhu Sudan Saha, underscored the global urgency of evolving security solutions, stating, “In this era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, technology is changing constantly, and so is the nature of security and safety technology. As risks to people’s assets and information rise, the protection of individuals, institutions, and national resources has become more critical than ever. Considering Bangladesh’s industrialization and urbanization, an integrated security framework is essential. I believe the ‘International Security and Safety Expo’ will create opportunities to adapt global technologies to local realities. At the same time, it will prepare local manufacturers, suppliers, importers, software and cybersecurity entrepreneurs, as well as the government, to face future challenges in the security and safety sector.”
