ChatGPT Crosses 2.5 Billion Daily Prompts, Marking Meteoric Rise
ChatGPT is now processing an astounding 2.5 billion prompts daily worldwide, according to OpenAI in a statement to Axios. Of this volume, approximately 330 million prompts originate from users in the United States, reports TechCrunch.
The figures highlight the expansive reach of ChatGPT as OpenAI’s flagship product. In comparison, Google processes about 5 trillion searches annually—averaging around 14 billion per day. Researchers estimate the range of daily Google searches to be between 13.7 and 16.4 billion.
Back in December, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that ChatGPT was handling over 1 billion prompts daily. In just eight months, that figure has more than doubled, underscoring the platform's rapid adoption and growing popularity around the world.
