OnePlus to Exit European and North American Markets, Offers Free Wireless Chargers

Popular smartphone brand OnePlus has decided to withdraw from the European and North American markets. The company had been operating quite successfully in these regions for years. However, the difficult decision comes as part of a recent shift in its business strategy. Although the news of OnePlus leaving the European market may disappoint technology enthusiasts, the brand has announced a gift for customers as it prepares to depart.

OnePlus is offering users in the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and France a free 50-watt AirVOOC magnetic wireless charger. However, customers must meet two specific conditions to receive the gift. First, they must visit OPPO’s German website and register for updates or subscribe to its newsletter. Second, they must link their existing OnePlus account to an OPPO account.

Limited Gifts and Additional Discounts

The offer is not available to everyone. A total of only 5,600 wireless chargers have been allocated across the four countries. There is no separate quota for any particular country, so the chargers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested customers have therefore been advised to complete the process through OPPO’s designated website as soon as possible.

OPPO is not limiting its farewell initiative to free wireless chargers. The company is also offering various discounts on products other than smartphones. The availability and amount of these discounts may vary from country to country.

The initiative is essentially aimed at ensuring that OnePlus customers do not face difficulties following the brand’s departure and can transition smoothly to OPPO’s services.
