Gazipur Digital University Suspends Classes in Mourning Over Plane Crash

In response to the tragic aircraft crash at Milestone School and College, the government has declared a national day of mourning. As part of this observance, Gazipur Digital University has announced the suspension of all classes across its departments on Tuesday, July 22.

The decision was confirmed in an official notice signed by the university's Registrar, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Khan.

In a separate condolence message issued on Monday, July 21, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf expressed his heartfelt sympathy for those affected by the disaster.

He stated, “This tragic incident has caused irreparable loss of lives and property among students, parents, teachers, staff members of Milestone School and College, and air force personnel. We are deeply saddened by this catastrophe.”

He further added, “This tragedy has shaken us all. Educational institutions are meant to be safe sanctuaries—an accident of such deadly magnitude occurring there is profoundly painful. The entire Gazipur Digital University community prays for the eternal peace of the departed souls and extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved families. We also wish a swift recovery for those who were injured.”
