Mostafa Mahmud Siddique Appointed New CAAB Chairman

Air Vice Marshal Md Mostafa Mahmud Siddique has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday, July 2.
The appointment has been made on deputation, with the Bangladesh Air Force officer's service placed under the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
This move comes days after the former CAAB Chairman, Air Vice Marshal Md Mofidur Rahman Bhuiyan, was removed from the post on Thursday, June 26. On that day, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a separate notification assigning his service back to the Armed Forces Division of the government.
With the new appointment, CAAB is expected to continue overseeing the country's civil aviation development and regulatory activities under new leadership.
