ADN Telecom Limited is set to install a VSAT hub at the Betbunia Ground Station, operated by Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL), under a newly signed agreement aimed at delivering high-speed internet to remote and hard-to-reach areas.

The agreement signing ceremony took place on Tuesday, July 1, at the BSCL headquarters in Banglamotor, Dhaka. Dr. Md. Imadur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of BSCL, and Henry Hilton, Managing Director of ADN Telecom, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Also present at the event were BSCL’s General Manager (Administration and Procurement) Golam Sarwar, General Manager (Sales and Marketing) Shah Ahmedul Kabir, and ADN Telecom’s Director of Government Affairs and SatCom Taskinur Rahman, along with COO Mohammad Fazlun Naeem.

According to BSCL, under the two-year agreement, ADN Telecom will utilize the co-location facilities at Betbunia to operate the VSAT hub. Through this infrastructure, the company will deliver internet services via BSCL’s Bangabandhu Satellite-1 (BS-1), targeting underserved and remote regions of the country. The rollout of services is expected to begin as early as next month.
