Gigabyte Gears Up: New Z890 Series Motherboards Feature Intel 200S Boost Technology

Hardware manufacturer Gigabyte has announced the integration of Intel’s latest 200S Boost technology into all motherboards of its next-generation Z890 series.

According to Gigabyte Bangladesh, users of the Z890 motherboards can enable this feature with a single click in the BIOS. The company claims that gamers will be able to enjoy overclocking with ease, without voiding the processor warranty. The 200S Boost also supports DDR5 XMP memory, enabling speeds of up to DDR5-8000, which Gigabyte says will significantly enhance high-speed gaming and multitasking performance.

However, to activate the Intel 200S Boost feature, users must utilize a K-series processor along with XMP-supported memory modules.

In an official statement released on Thursday, June 5, Gigabyte stated, “Intel’s 200S Boost technology is essentially a pre-configured overclocking profile specifically designed for Intel Core Ultra 200S series processors. It automatically increases the frequency of various internal units of the processor to enhance gaming performance and response time.”

Gigabyte has also announced the release of BIOS updates supporting the 200S Boost technology, which are now available on the company’s website. Additionally, a detailed Qualified Vendor List (QVL) has been provided to assist users in selecting compatible RAM modules.
