Online Primary Teachers’ Transfer Process Begins Thursday

The online inter-district transfer process for assistant teachers of government primary schools—limited to transfers within the same administrative division—will commence on Thursday, April 17. Teachers will be able to submit their applications online until April 19. Headteachers are scheduled to complete their required tasks related to the process on April 20.

The Directorate of Primary Education issued an official letter on Wednesday, April 16, detailing the schedule and conditions of the transfer process. The letter was addressed to field-level Deputy Directors, District Primary Education Officers, Upazila/Thana Education Officers, and Headteachers.

According to the letter, Assistant Upazila/Thana Education Officers will verify the submitted applications between April 21 and 23. Following that, Upazila or Thana Education Officers will carry out their responsibilities between April 24 and 25.

District Primary Education Officers will finalize their part of the process on April 26 and 27. After automatic nominations are generated by the system on April 28, the concerned Divisional Deputy Directors will complete the final steps between April 29 and 30.

As per the office order, teachers are allowed to choose a maximum of three schools in order of preference. If a teacher has fewer preferences, they may opt for only one or two schools. Once a transfer order is issued based on the submitted application, no requests for cancellation will be entertained.

Verification officers are instructed to review each application and the related documents in accordance with the “Integrated Online Transfer Guidelines 2023” issued by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. The verification must be conducted meticulously, and once submitted, no further requests for reconsideration will be accepted.

Currently, over 10% of teachers in 216 upazilas/thanas have already been transferred from other regions. As a result, those upazilas will remain outside the scope of the current inter-district transfer cycle. The ongoing process will thus be applicable to the remaining 271 upazilas/thanas.
