BNP Backs Breakthrough: Zulhas Mollik Receives Second Round of Funding for Homemade Aircraft

Zulhas Mollik, a young inventor from Manikganj, has once again received financial assistance from the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Tarique Rahman, to upgrade and repair his homemade aircraft. The support will aid in installing a new engine and conducting necessary refurbishments for the next phase of development.
On Thursday (April 10), the assistance was formally handed over to Zulhas at a program held at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka. Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of BNP’s National Standing Committee, presented the support on behalf of the party leadership.
The event was presided over by Atiqur Rahman Ruman, convener of Amra BNP Poribar and a member of the BNP Media Cell. Special guest Afroza Khanam Rita, advisor to the BNP Chairperson and president of Manikganj District BNP, was also present.
The session was conducted by Zahidul Islam Rony, a permanent member of the National Press Club. Other notable attendees included Z Khan Md. Riaz Uddin Nasu, Secretary of Information and Research Affairs of BNP’s Central Executive Committee; Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, Member Secretary of Amra BNP Poribar; Engineer Salahuddin Ahmed Rayhan, former member of the Association of Engineers-Bangladesh (AEB); and Amra BNP Poribar members Mustakim Billah and Shakil Ahmed, among others.
It is worth noting that although Zulhas has never flown in a plane himself, he drew national and international attention by building an ultra-light (RC) model aircraft using his skills as an electric technician. Inspired by his remarkable innovation, Tarique Rahman had first extended financial support to Zulhas on March 5.
This second round of funding reflects BNP's continued encouragement of local ingenuity and innovation.
