CUET Expelled 19 Leaders of Banned Chhatra League
The Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has expelled seven students from academic activities for varying durations and permanently expelled them from residential halls. Additionally, twelve other students have been temporarily suspended from residential halls. All the expelled students are former leaders of the banned CUET unit of the Bangladesh Chhatra League.
Confirming the decision, Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, Director of CUET’s Student Welfare Office, stated, "We received several written complaints regarding activities detrimental to the interests of general students and disruptive to campus discipline. Based on these complaints, the accused students were asked to provide explanations. After reviewing their responses and the supporting evidence, the disciplinary committee decided on these punishments."
