WhatsApp Introduces New Customization Features with Themes and Chat Colors
WhatsApp is rolling out a new customization feature that allows users to change chat themes, modify chat bubble colors, and apply new wallpapers. According to a blog post from the company, the feature is being gradually introduced worldwide and will be available to all users within the next few weeks. The Verge first reported the development.
The latest update includes 30 new wallpapers, some of which will be available as preset themes. These themes will automatically adjust the chat bubble and text colors, enhancing personalization and making it easier to distinguish important conversations.
Users will have the option to apply the same theme across the entire app or set different themes for specific chats and channels. Additionally, they can customize the colors of sent and received message bubbles, text colors, and wallpapers.
Once the feature is available, users can change the default theme for the entire app by navigating to Settings > Chats > Default chat theme. For individual chat customization, they can tap the chat name or the three-dot icon at the top and select Chat theme from the settings menu.
