Honor Bangladesh Introduces Biodegradable Bags for the First Time

For the first time, smartphone brand Honor Bangladesh has introduced environmentally friendly biodegradable bags. These bags, certified by the Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), are made from biodegradable materials designed to decompose naturally into the soil after use. The company stated that this initiative aims to advance the process of building a greener world.

Regarding this initiative, Mujahidul Islam, Deputy Country Manager of Honor Bangladesh, said, “Alongside our motto, ‘Go Green, Go Beyond,’ sustainable development is one of our key goals. We are extremely excited to introduce biodegradable bags and to inspire our customers to make environmentally conscious choices for a sustainable future. Small steps like these can make a significant impact on our environment.”

It has been reported that Honor’s biodegradable bags have also received international certifications such as DIN CERTCO and the Universal Life Verification System (ULVS). The certification mark for DIN CERTCO is associated with the certification body of TÜV Rheinland Group. DIN CERTCO provides certification for biodegradable products, with assessments conducted by the German Institute for Standardization, which considers these standards highly significant in the certification process. Additionally, ULVS certification is granted to products that meet ISO 14855-1:2012 standards.
