29th BCS (Administration) Cadre Elects 23-Member Executive Committee

The 23-member executive committee of the 29th BCS (Administration) Cadre Service has been announced, with Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Tariq Hasan, elected as President and Private Secretary to the Advisor on Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, R. H. M. Alawol Kabir, as General Secretary.
The biennial executive committee of the 29th BCS (Administration) was declared on Wednesday afternoon.
Md. Nazmul Islam Sarkar, Private Secretary to the Secretary of the Internal Resources Division and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue, was elected as Vice President-1. A. S. M. Jamshed Khondokar, Private Secretary to the Chief of the Police Reform Commission, was elected as Vice President-2. Dr. Ashfiqun Nahar, Deputy Secretary of the Local Government Division, was elected as Vice President-3. Additionally, Md. Iqbal Hossain was elected as Treasurer, while Md. Sirajul Islam was elected as Office Secretary.
In his reaction, newly elected President Tariq Hasan stated, “We will take necessary steps to formulate a timely constitution for the batch, prepare a comprehensive database of all members, and enhance the professional excellence of our members to meet the demands of the era. Additionally, initiatives will be taken to foster inter-cadre cordiality and launch various public welfare programs.”
It is worth mentioning that on December 24, a 15-member convening committee was formed to establish the full-fledged executive committee of the 29th BCS (Administration) Cadre Service. To ensure the smooth conduct of the election, the committee appointed Md. Rashedul Haque as Chief Election Commissioner, with Aminul Islam and Sohana Nasrin as Election Commissioners. This commission, through a democratic process, successfully conducted the election and declared the 23-member executive committee.
