Transitioning away from legacy paperwork to institutionalize procedural transparency and operational speed, the Ministry of Housing and Public Works has officially launched an online portal to publish government housing allotment results. Minister for Housing and Public Works Zakaria Taher inaugurated the digital platform on Thursday, 15 October 2026, at the ministry's conference room within the Bangladesh Secretariat in Dhaka.

A total of 596 civil service personnel submitted applications through the central portal. Following verification against statutory entitlement metrics, 342 submissions were deemed qualified, while 254 applications were disqualified for failing to meet mandated documentation criteria.
Speaking at the launch, Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher noted that embedding structural transparency, upholding institutional governance, and simplifying administrative workflows for government employees remain paramount policy priorities.
