Dual Expos Draw Massive Footfall At ICCB In Dhaka

Highlighting industrial heavy engineering alongside consumer automobile retail, the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka is hosting the 8th Bangladesh International Marine and Offshore Expo (BIMOX 2026) alongside the weekly automobile trading hub "Super Sale Car Bazar." The concurrent exhibitions drew substantial weekend foot traffic comprising marine engineers, industrial entrepreneurs, corporate fleet managers, and private automobile buyers on Friday.

The three-day maritime exhibition, organized by Savor International Limited at ICCB's Nabaratri Hall, was formally inaugurated on Thursday, 15 October 2026, by Shipping Minister Sheikh Robiul Alam. Designed to bolster technical and commercial capacity across the domestic shipbuilding, green ship recycling, marine logistics, and offshore exploration sectors, the show features cutting-edge components, heavy engines, and navigational electronics. According to event organizers, more than 200 exhibitors from seven maritime nations—including Bangladesh, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, China, and India—are showcasing modern maritime industrial solutions to stimulate foreign direct investment and technology transfer under the national Blue Economy framework. The expo runs through Saturday, 17 October, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Concurrently, the open grounds of ICCB came alive on Friday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the "Super Sale Car Bazar." Organized by Wizard Showbiz with ICCB as the venue partner, the weekly marketplace has been operating regularly every Friday since its launch on 4 September. The trading platform provides a transparent automotive marketplace where prospective buyers can inspect, test-drive, and compare brand-new, certified pre-owned, and imported Japanese reconditioned sedans, SUVs, motorcycles, and utility transport vehicles in a unified venue with integrated auto-financing facilities, official sources confirmed.
