Midland Bank PLC has officially launched the Visa Signature Credit Card, designed to provide customers with an integrated suite of premium lifestyle, travel, dining, and modern payment services. Imtiaz U. Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO of Midland Bank, formally inaugurated the card at a ceremony held at the Lakeshore Hotel in Dhaka on Wednesday (October 14).

The launch ceremony was attended by senior executives of the bank, including Deputy Managing Director and CRO Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director and CTO Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar, and Head of Cards Md. Abed-ur-Rahman. The Midland Bank Visa Signature Credit Card was developed as part of the bank's initiative to offer a digital-first, highly rewarding payment experience.

Key technical and operational features of the card include a credit limit of up to BDT 40 lakh, an interest-free period of up to 45 days, health screening perks, 8x reward points on transactions, dual-currency capabilities, access to international airport lounges and Balaka Lounge, and dedicated airport transfer services. Additionally, cardholders can access promotional discounts and EMI facilities across merchant networks nationwide.

Cardholders receive a welcome offer of up to 19,000 reward points, annual fee waiver options, complimentary buffet dining, hotel stay privileges, travel benefits, and year-round Buy-1-Get-1/2/3 offers at select luxury hotels, subject to applicable terms.

The card incorporates Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for contactless, tap-to-pay transactions, alongside a 95 percent fund transfer option, insurance coverage, and e-commerce payment tools for tuition fees, utility bills, and mobile top-ups. Cardholders can manage card controls directly via the 'Midland Online' platform. Subject to specific conditions, the card also supports zero-fee add-money transactions to major Mobile Financial Services (MFS) platforms, including bKash, Nagad, Rocket, and Upay.

Bank officials noted that the launch of the Visa Signature Credit Card enhances Midland Bank's card portfolio and supports its strategy to deliver modern, technology-driven banking solutions to consumers. //DBTech/JNON/SMP/OEM//
