- UFTB held an orientation for its B-TOPSE Software Architecture-1 training programme
- The initiative focuses on practical skills and problem-solving capabilities
- JICA expert and project coordinator Naho Katsuki attended the event
The University of Frontier Technology, Bangladesh (UFTB) has introduced the B-TOPSE Software Architecture-1 training programme to strengthen students’ practical software engineering skills, knowledge of modern software architecture and problem-solving abilities. The initiative aims to align university education with industry needs and prepare internationally competitive technology professionals.
The orientation programme was held on Saturday, October 10, at the initiative of the university’s Department of Software Engineering. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali attended as the chief guest. The event was chaired by Md Mahmudul Hasan, chairman of the Department of Software Engineering.
In his address, Professor Dr Md Moktar Ali said students must develop practical skills in modern technologies alongside the knowledge gained through conventional academic curricula to keep pace with rapid advances in information technology.
He emphasized the need to strengthen software engineering skills, gain hands-on knowledge of modern software architecture and improve problem-solving capabilities to prepare students for professional careers.
The vice-chancellor expressed optimism that such training programmes would help align university education with industry requirements and contribute to developing technology professionals who meet international standards.
The B-TOPSE programme is expected to give students opportunities to improve their practical knowledge and professional skills in software engineering. Such training can also strengthen their preparation for technology-driven workplaces and help develop a skilled workforce for Bangladesh’s information technology sector.
Teachers, trainers and invited guests attended the event, along with Naho Katsuki, a JICA expert and project coordinator.
