    Industries Secretary Abdun Naser Khan emphasized combining innovation, knowledge, and practical skill sets to optimize limited resources and drive high-yield production at lower costs[cite. He made these remarks as the chief guest during the inauguration of a student 'Innovation Fair' at the BCIC College campus in Mirpur, Dhaka, organized on the occasion of 'National Productivity Day 2026'.   

    Defining productivity as achieving maximum outcome using existing capabilities within shorter timeframes, the Secretary noted that the showcased student projects reflect practical solutions to national challenges. Key focus areas across the exhibition included artificial intelligence integration, waste reduction, waste-to-electricity conversion, and organic fertilizer production.

    Calling upon the current generation to build supportive platforms for young minds, he introduced the concept of 'Skillage'—the fusion of formal knowledge with actionable skill sets—as essential for building qualified human capital. The 50-stall exhibition was attended by senior officials including Ministry of Industries Additional Secretary Md. Nuruzzaman, BSCIC Chairman Benazir Ahmed, BCIC Chairman, alongside college faculty and students.
