Big Data, IoT, and Machine Learning Summit to Begin in Dhaka on September 25

The third International Conference on Big Data, IoT, and Machine Learning (BIM 2025) is set to take place at Dhaka International University from September 25. The three-day conference is being jointly organized by the Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS), Dhaka International University, and the Center for Intelligent Computing.

As a platform for emerging technology-driven research, innovation, and knowledge exchange in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), this year’s conference has received 631 research papers from more than 15 countries. Following a Double-Blind Peer Review process, 251 high-quality papers have been accepted for presentation. The accepted papers will be published in either the Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems or the Taylor & Francis CRC book series. The event will also feature seven keynote speakers, five invited speakers, and thirty technical sessions, covering topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Health Informatics, Smart Cities, and Green Computing.

Details of the event were shared at a press conference held on Friday, September 19, at the BCS headquarters in Kalyanpur, Dhaka. Present at the press meet were Conference Chair and BCS President Professor Dr. Engineer Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, Organizing Chair and BCS Vice-President Professor Md. Abdul Baset, and Organizing Secretary and BCS General Secretary Elin Bobby.

Also in attendance were BCS Joint Secretary (Admin) Shariful Anwar, BCS Joint Secretary (Finance) Md. Jarafat Islam, BCS Joint Secretary (Academic) Engineer Md. Nazmul Huda Masud, and BCS Treasurer Muhammad Shahriar Hossain Khan. BCS Councilors including Muhammad Omar Siddique, Md. Mehedi Hasan, Md. Mozaharul Islam, Md. Asad-uz-Zaman, S. M. Parvez Rana, Md. Wahid Murad, S. M. Sajjad Hossain, Nimai Chandra Mondal, Amimul Ihsan, Md. Alamgir, Sabuj Das, Md. Manirul Islam, Md. Maruf Hossain, Bayezid Hasan Bhuiyan, Md. Tanvidul Islam, and BCS Manager Md. Ziaur Rahman were also present.

During the briefing, BCS President Professor Dr. Mohammad Shamsul Arefin stated that, “In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the conference will provide a future-focused platform where researchers will highlight issues central to technology-driven research, innovation, and knowledge exchange in Bangladesh.”
