HONOR Showcases Robot Phone at Venice Festival

Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR showcased its Robot Phone, integrating a mechanical robotic arm, a gimbal stabilizer, and artificial intelligence, at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival held from September 2 to 12.

Wednesday, September 16, 2026: HONOR participated as the Official Imaging Strategic Partner of the International Promotion Program for Chinese-Language Films. The smartphone, equipped with a 200MP camera, was previously presented at the 79th Cannes Film Festival and the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival.

Co-engineered with cinema camera and lighting specialist ARRI, the device introduces three core imaging technologies to a smartphone: ARRI LogC3 color science, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, and ARRI Looks. ARRI LogC3 preserves detailed highlight and shadow data for post-production, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 broadens the color gamut, and ARRI Looks provides controlled cinematic color styles. ARRI holds a century-long cinematic imaging legacy with 20 Scientific and Technical Awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The collaboration brings professional filmmaking workflows to mobile devices, balancing creative control through capture and editing. The mechanical arm and gimbal system stabilize the 200MP camera, while automated features like AI Object Tracking and AI SpinShot capture moving subjects seamlessly. HONOR also displayed the Magic9 Pro Max, featuring a large center sensor with dual side lenses mirroring iconic ARRIFLEX cinema cameras.
