Final Date Subject to HSC Exam Results
Medical Admission Test Likely on December 4
- MBBS and BDS admission test for the 2026-27 session tentatively set for December 4.
- Final schedule and official circular contingent on the publication of HSC results.
- Combined admission test for MBBS and BDS to continue this year.
The MBBS and BDS admission tests for government and private medical and dental colleges for the 2026-27 academic session are tentatively scheduled for December 4. The Directorate General of Health Education (DGHE) under the Ministry of Health has reached a preliminary decision in this regard, with the final dates subject to the publication of the HSC and equivalent exam results.
Speaking on Wednesday (September 16), DGHE Director General Professor Dr. Md. Nazmul Hossain stated, "We have tentatively fixed December 4 for the exam. If HSC results are published by mid-to-late October, we can proceed with this date. Since circulars, applications, and re-scrutiny take time after result publication, any delay in HSC results will inevitably push back the medical admission test."
Professor Nazmul Hossain added that, like the previous session, the MBBS and BDS entry exams will be held simultaneously on the same day. Discussions regarding question patterns and mark distributions will be finalized within the next 1.5 to 2 weeks. Notably, the medical admission test for the previous 2025-26 academic session took place on December 12, 2025, with results published two days later on December 14.
