- Smartphone shipments increased by 9 percent in H1
Despite a general slowdown in the global smartphone market, HONOR's smartphone shipments increased by 9 percent in the first half of the current year (January-June) compared to the same period last year. This information was revealed in reports by market research firms IDC and Omdia.
Driven by this growth, HONOR has positioned itself at the top of the global Android market and emerged as the fastest-growing brand among leading global manufacturers. It also stands as the only Chinese Android smartphone manufacturer to achieve positive annual growth in the global market.
According to Omdia, while overall smartphone shipments in the Middle East fell by 13 percent, HONOR's shipments grew by 35 percent. Simultaneously, shipments increased by 53 percent in Africa and 15 percent in Southeast Asia. Globally, HONOR's sales volume and revenue rose by 20 percent and 26 percent, respectively.
HONOR CEO James Li stated that the company's progress exceeded expectations in H1. Lang Gu, Country Manager of HONOR Bangladesh, added that this success reinforces their commitment to innovation. Alongside smartphones, HONOR is actively focusing on AI-driven smart devices to build a comprehensive AI ecosystem.
