Bangladeshi robotics team 'Team Atlas' has crowned themselves champions in the 'Entrepreneurship Challenge' category at the international robotics competition 'RoboRAVE Osaka' in Japan, outperforming top innovations from 19 countries.
The global competition was hosted at the Osaka International Convention Center in Japan from August 10 to 12, according to a press release issued by Team Atlas.
At the contest, Team Atlas presented 'Hydraz', an AI-driven smart aquaculture platform. Built with a combination of the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Computer Vision technology, the device intelligently monitors water quality, tracks fish behavior, and automates feeding schedules in commercial fisheries. Additionally, the system analyzes potential environmental risks and offers predictive advisory solutions.
The event featured fierce competition from 19 participating countries, including Bangladesh, China, Singapore, Thailand, Macao, Egypt, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Tunisia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Poland, Greece, Canada, the USA, and Slovakia.
The victorious members of Team Atlas who brought glory to Bangladesh on the international stage are Sunny Jubayer, Jannatul Ferdous Fahim, Arafat Ahmed Khan Arham, Md. Shahriar Hasan, and Oroni Saha.
